Hotrods and Brakes manufactures affordable front disc brake conversion kits for many older Ford and Studebaker cars and trucks at our shop in northern Wisconsin. We have also been designing and fabricating streetrod chassis and suspensions along with custom sheetmetal fabrication since 1988. Our disc brake kits are Cad designed and parts are CNC machined. The adapter brackets are flamecut from 3/8" A36 steel plate and all fasteners are grade 8 aircraft quality.
We Have kits for most Ford cars from 1954 to 1970 and Studebaker cars and trucks from 1941 to 1966.
All Disc Brake Kits Are Bolt-on, Requires No Drilling or Welding.
Bolts To Your Stock Drum Brake Spindles On the Car, No Need to remove.
Does Not Change Geometry, No Need To Reallign Front End.
Replacement Parts Are Inexpensive and Are Stocked at Most Parts Stores.
All Kits are Available as a Budget Kit or a Super Kit
Budget Kits Include Caliper Brackets, Bearing Spacers, Grade 8 Fasteners, Complete Instructions and a List of Parts Needed to Complete the Conversion of Both Front Wheels.
Super Kits Include All the Parts in the Budget Kit Plus New Rotors, Inner and Outer Bearings, Grease Seals, Dust Caps, Hoses, Semi-Metallic Pads and Remanufactured Calipers with Hardware.
All Kits Use Rotors With a 5 x 4 1/2" Bolt Circle, the Hub Diameter is 2 3/4" Later Model Year Wheels for Disc Brakes or Aftermarket Wheels are Recommended. A Later Dual Master Cylinder and Proportioning Valve are Also Recommended.
